I'm 48 and this is my first e-scooter, and I’ve had it for about a month now. So far, so good. I’ve been absolutely ripping a five-mile commute to work on nice days and taking it on random joyrides around the city with little to no issues.
I’ve hit potholes in heavy traffic that honestly should have launched me into the next zip code, but this thing stays smooth and handles abuse like a champ. And the speed? Completely ridiculous!
Now for the downsides: the speedometer is wildly optimistic. Mine reads about 12 mph faster than reality, so apparently I’m breaking land-speed records while doing neighborhood speeds. It was also a little loose coming out of the box, so definitely check and tighten everything before riding. My handlebar needed tightening right away. There are also some discs above the front suspension that rattle and make it sound cheaper than it feels.
Other than that, this scooter is a blast. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone with a little riding experience—and a helmet, unless you enjoy learning physics the hard way.
